Talib Kweli is joining the protest against Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law.
The rapper recently spent the night at the Florida State Capitol in Tallahassee to stand in solidarity with the activist group the Dream Defenders. The group - which confronts civil rights inequalities - is currently staging a sit-in at the capitol to gain support for the repeal of the state's "Stand Your Ground" law.
In a statement on his Tumblr account, Talib explains that he joined the protest because he believes there are times that people have to bring their "bodies to the struggle."
