Marketplace at Armstrong Park returns on Thursday, September 20th from 3:00PM to 7:00PM with local food and craft vendors. Performances by Charmaine Neville and Rockin Dopsie, Jr. will commence at 5pm as part of the Jazz in the Park series hosted by People United for Armstrong Park (PUFAP). The Marketplace at Armstrong Park is presented by The Institute of Community Development (ICD), partnered with PUFAP, North Rampart Main Street, the Historic Faubourg Tremé Association and the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation.
Each Thursday from September 20 to November 8, Armstrong Park will become a community marketplace from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, with Jazz in the Park concerts starting at 5pm. Local vendors will offer all types of produce and products during the event. Feed your soul with a healthy mix of fresh foods, great art, lively music, and good times! Admission is free.
New Orleans ambassador songstress Charmaine Neville will kick off Jazz in the Park at 5:00 PM followed by Rockin Dopsie, Jr. at 6:15PM. Additional scheduled performers are Irma Thomas, George Porter Jr., and Stooges Brass Band. Full schedule: http://www.pufap.org.
