A judge in Baton Rouge ordered a recount of the Crescent City Connection toll extension voteon Thursday.

The tolls for the bridge were renewed by the narrowest of margins.

After the Nov. 6 election, a review of 20 more absentee ballots increased the victory for the renewal by a narrow margin, as 16 votes out of 308,000 decided the outcome.

The renewal calls for the tolls to remain in place for the next 20 years.

Only mail-in, absentee and early votes from Orleans Parish will be recounted. The renewal passed in Orleans Parish, but was defeated in Jefferson Parish and Plaquemines Parish.

StoptheTolls.org filed a lawsuit to contest the vote.
