MAYOR LANDRIEU ASKS LOCALS TO TWEET THEIR FAVORITE PLACES FOR SUPER BOWL VISITORS

 

#BestOfNOLA Hashtag Will Provide Steady Stream of Tips for Visitors 

 

 

 

NEW ORLEANS, LA—In anticipation of the tens of thousands of tourists expected to visit the city during Super Bowl XLVII festivities, Mayor Mitch Landrieu is asking New Orleanians to take to Twitter to offer tips on the best New Orleans has to offer. 

“Locals know their city best,” said Mayor Mitch Landrieu. “There are a number of restaurants and fun activities to do throughout the city of New Orleans that might not always be publicized. Let’s make sure visitors get the best variety we can offer.”

Mayor Landrieu is asking locals to tweet their favorite hot spots using the hashtag #BestOfNOLA.  Super Bowl visitors are encouraged to follow the hashtag throughout the week to learn of all the best places to eat and visit in the city.

Mayor Landrieu’s Twitter handle is @mayorlandrieu. The official Super Bowl XLVII Host Committee Twitter handle is @nolasuperbowl. The Host Committee will be using #superbowl and #SB47 throughout the week.
