Take one listen to Adrian Long and the first thing you’ll notice is the smile in her voice and her pleasant personality.

 Her comfortable yet in-depth approach when communicating with her listeners has made her one of the most listened to females in this market. 

Adrian’s talents have been felt in many neighboring cities and states such as Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana.  She started her radio career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL) were she earned her B.A.  While attending UL, she worked for Citywide Communication as a full time air-personality at KFXZ, and KRRQ.  After graduation she interned for MCA Records and then landed a gig at WQUE (Q93.3) in her home town of New Orleans, La. 




She was then called upon by Citadel Broadcasting in Baton Rouge, to take over the management position of Music Director and Midday Host of Maxin-N-DaMidday’s with Adrian Long on WEMX, Max 94.1.  After only one year as Music Director, Adrian received the coveted award of Music Director of the Year (medium market) from The National Black Programmers Committee (NBPC).   She was then promoted to the highly regarded position of Program Director for WEMX. 

 

One day while driving thru New Orleans she realized how much she missed the sites and sounds of home.  She began the process that would bring her back home where she belonged, at Clear Channel, on the number one adult choice WYLD, FM98.
