A native of the Westbank, Hal Clark has hosted Sunday Journal since 2002, succeeding the show's co-creator and host, Bill Rouselle. He brought years of broadcasting experience to the table having also worked in Cincinnati and San Diego.

During his tenure as host of Sunday Journal there has been no shortage of notable personalities on the show. Whether they are local celebrities, national celebrities or movers and shakers in the news, Hal has introduced them to New Orleans listeners.

As a veteran public/media relations consultant and practitioner, Hal has worked with State Farm Insurance Companies, Essence, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, the Southwestern Athletic Conference, T. D. Jakes Ministries, Coca-Cola and Dillard University.

Hal received his undergraduate degree from Grambling State University and his graduate degree from Western Illinois University. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.and the Writer's League of Texas.

Sunday Journal is a weekly talk show on 98.5-WYLD in New Orleans. Hosted from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. by Hal Clark, Sunday Journal received the Press Club of New Orleans Excellence in Broadcasting Award for "Best Radio Talk Show" in 2009, 2010, and 2011. The show also received the 2011 award for "Best Radio Entertainment Feature".

Whether the he show covers various topics, via interviews, ranging from politics to health and wellness to education to social justice. "For decades this program as given listeners an opportunity to participate in a forum whose main objective is inform and educate. That's something missing from most talk radio programs, which pretty much have precise agendas," says Hal.
